Buses, trains, and the airport are close

Villa Gabri 25 sits in an ideal spot for car-free travel. The nearest bus stop is just 300 metres away, Orio al Serio Airport is 5 minutes down the road, and Bergamo's train station is an easy bus ride. From here you can reach Lake Iseo, Milan, Lake Como and the whole Bergamo province.

ATB City Buses

ATB (Bergamo's public transit company) runs buses connecting Seriate to Bergamo city centre, the train station, and the funicular up to Città Alta. The closest stop to Villa Gabri 25 is about 300 metres on foot.

Line C connects Seriate to central Bergamo in about 20 minutes, running every 15–20 minutes on weekdays. A single ticket costs €1.35 (valid 75 minutes), a 10-ride booklet €11.50, and a day pass €3.50. Buy tickets on the ATB app, at newsstands, or at any tobacconist (look for the blue 'T' sign). Remember to validate your ticket when you board — inspectors issue €35 fines.

Trenord Trains

Bergamo station has frequent trains to Milan, Brescia, Lecco and Lake Como. You can reach the station by bus from the stop near Villa Gabri 25 in about 15 minutes.

Milan Central in 50 minutes (from €5.50), Brescia in one hour (from €4.80), Lecco in 45 minutes (from €3.80 — from there, take the ferry to Lake Como). Trains to Milan run every 30 minutes at peak times. Buy tickets on the Trenord app, at self-service machines in the station, or online. Regional tickets don't require a reservation.

Bikes & Bike Sharing

La BiGi is ATB's bike-sharing service with stations across Bergamo. The area around Villa Gabri 25 is flat and great for cycling, with bike paths connecting Seriate to Bergamo.

A La BiGi day pass costs €2, a weekly pass €6. The first 30 minutes are free, then €0.50 per 30 minutes. If you prefer e-bikes, several rental shops in Bergamo offer electric bikes from €25 per day — perfect for exploring the hills and valleys without breaking a sweat.

Taxis & Ride-Hailing

In Bergamo, taxis don't cruise the streets like in big cities — you call one by phone or find them at designated stands. Radio Taxi Bergamo is the main service, available 24/7.

Call Radio Taxi Bergamo at 035 451 1900. A ride from Villa Gabri 25 to the airport costs around €12–15, to Bergamo centre about €18–22, and to the train station about €15–18. Uber and Bolt are not available in the Bergamo area. For airport transfers, we recommend booking in advance.

Airport Shuttle

Orio al Serio Airport is just 3 km from Villa Gabri 25 — one of the biggest perks of our location. ATB Line 1 connects the airport to Bergamo station, passing through the city centre.

ATB Line 1 departs from the airport roughly every 20 minutes (5:30 AM to 12:30 AM) and reaches Bergamo station in 15 minutes. The ticket costs €2.50. Alternatively, Terravision and Orio Shuttle run direct coaches to Milan Central Station (around €7, one hour).

Practical tips

Validate your ticket

When you board the bus, stamp your ticket in the yellow validation machines. Inspectors issue €35 fines to anyone caught with an unvalidated ticket.

Where to buy tickets

You can buy bus tickets at any tobacconist (look for the blue 'T' sign outside), at newsstands, or on the ATB app. Self-service machines are available at the train station.

Sundays & holidays

Services run on a reduced schedule on Sundays and public holidays — check times on the ATB app. Some bike-sharing stations may have limited availability.

Transport strikes

Transport strikes (sciopero) are fairly common in Italy and are announced in advance. During a strike, services are guaranteed between 6:00–9:00 AM and 6:00–9:00 PM.
